The contribution examines the Oenotrian settlement of Timpone della Motta in Francavilla Marittima (CS), with particular reference to Building V on its summit, tracing its architectural and typological transformations from the protohistoric period to the Archaic age. Through a re-evaluation of the stratigraphy and associated material culture, the study reconstructs the phases of occupation, ritual dynamics, architectural layout, and functional aspects of the structure. The analysis highlights the site’s complexity as an expression of an internally stratified and culturally dynamic society, whose development reflects processes of interaction and reinterpretation of Greek influences within a broader framework of progressive integration between local traditions and external models.
