DecArch
http://www.decarch.it/
The website, conceived by Marina Milella, deals with Roman architectural decoration by providing a set of useful educational and scientific instruments addressed to students and scholars. Among the array of sources, it is worth mentioning a manual to catalogue architectural elements, a catalogue with illustrated photographs, bibliographies, links to websites on relevant subjects. Special attention is paid to facilitate the web surfing and the search for internal contents, that are hence easily accessible. The websites utilizes Mediawiki software and therefore wiki graphics and philosophy, requiring registered users’ active participation (mail: info@decarch.it), for instance in contents’ implementation. Most part of texts and of images are licensed under GFDL, so that the website is one of the first attempt to realize an Open Archaeology in Italian language.
